Vastu for Working Space
Creating a workspace based on Vastu Shastra involves adhering to ancient principles aimed at promoting harmony, productivity, and positivity. Here’s a detailed guide on how to design a workspace according to Vastu:
1. Location and Layout: The entrance of the workspace should ideally face north or east. This direction is believed to invite positive energy. If possible, place the office in the northwest or west direction of the house/building. These directions are considered auspicious for business activities.
2. Desk Placement: The person working should face east or north. Facing these directions is said to enhance concentration and bring prosperity. The desk should be placed so that the worker has a solid wall behind them, symbolizing support and stability. Avoid sitting with your back to a door or window.Keep the desk organized and free from clutter to maintain a clear mind and focus.
3. Seating Arrangement: Use a high-backed chair to signify support and authority. It should be comfortable to promote good posture and health.Ensure your feet touch the ground firmly when seated. If not, use a footrest.
4. Storage and Organization: Place cabinets and storage units in the south or west. Heavy storage units should be in the southwest corner.Important documents and files should be stored in the southwest direction, as this is believed to keep them safe and secure.
5. Color Scheme: Use light and soothing colors like light blue, green, or off-white. These colors enhance calmness and focus. Avoid dark or overly bright colors as they can cause stress and distraction.Use natural materials and colors for desk items. Wooden items are preferable over metal or plastic.
